about Michael grew up around Boston riding and competing in BMX. During that time, he would shoot snapshots of his fellow BMX riders and he realized how much he enjoyed photography. Today sports and fitness photography is a business for the Boston-based photographer. After high school, he attended college for culinary arts, but he wasn’t interested in the academic subjects. Eventually, he dropped out and he decided to pursue an intensive program in the creative arts—specifically, photography. With his culinary background, Michael went back to the kitchen after completing his photography education. He thought, ‘I have an eye for food, so why not put the two together?’ So, he spent a lot of time shooting food, but the spark just wasn’t there. He really enjoyed shooting sports and fitness, but was told many times that there’s no market for that. While on a shoot one day, he met some people from a world leading fitness brand. After listening to their perspective, he decided, “I’m just going to go for it". He left the kitchen behind to pursue his passion. Michael started shooting more personal projects, which in turn landed him some great clients down the road. Some of Michael’s recent clients are Adidas, UFC, Reebok, Muscle and Fitness Magazine, New England Revolution and various Ad Agencies across the country. Thanks to these clients, Michael has been able to work and travel the world. He has almost worked in all 50 states and also has international production experience in Canada, Spain, Iceland and Ireland.
